Storied Management LLC – an affiliate of Storied Development, LLC, an established development, marketing and sales organization with private club communities throughout the continental U.S., Hawaii, the Caribbean and Mexico – is seeking a STEAM Manager for its luxury, private residential, mountain golf and ski community in Park City, Utah – Talisker Club.
Talisker Club is Park City’s only four-club, one-membership private home community presenting an incomparable collection of mountain, Main Street, backcountry and country clubs. It is situated in Utah’s Wasatch mountain range, from the slopes of the Deer Valley® Resort to the valleys surrounding the Jordanelle Reservoir.
Position Description: STEAM Manager
(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics)
Status: Full time/ Year Round
Reports to: Talisker Club General Manager
PURCHASE OF POSITION:
The goal of this position is help create and oversee a unique experiential environment that will spark imagination and unleash creativity through hands on learning in a fun and exciting atmosphere for children, teens and adults. The STEAM Manager will provide education by blending the fields Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics to Talisker Club’s members and their guests to encourage the ability of using different skills to solve problems in a fun and collaborative group environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop STEAM learning lessons and activities for adults, adolescents, and children with the types of courses, activities and lessons that emphasize “out of the box” thinking and different ways to explore problem solving.
Ensure that programing meets state and national guidelines.
Collaborate with schools and universities to support STEAM programs and initiatives.
Provide hands-on materials.
Demonstrate an awareness of Club members’ backgrounds, cultures and learning abilities.
Monitor the programs growth to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
Using data to constantly refine programming.
Supervise and ensure the safety of those attending any aspect of the programming.
Provide regular feedback to participants.
Prepare annual budgets for programing and manage to approved budgets.
Provide regular updates to the Club’s General Manager on program development, program successes and opportunities for improvement.
Provide courses, lessons, and activities to various Club department heads in a timely manner in order to promote the program.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFCATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEAM field.
Previous experience as a STEAM teacher will be advantageous.
State teaching license in the relevant field.
Knowledge of STEAM best practices.
Must be passionate about arts, science and technology.
Empathy and great interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Proficiency with basic computer software such as Word and Excel.
Experience and patience working with children and adolescents.
Good management skills.
Good teamwork abilities.
Ability to work holidays and weekends as requested.
